The Formula One World Championship: at least 8 but not more than 17 GPs
305km (189.518 miles) = the approximate length of a F1 Grand Prix
Technically, a GP comprises the least number of laps that exceeds this distance
(formation lap usually included)
Though seldom used, there is a time limit, as well: 2 hours
The checkered flag is waved at the end of the lap on which the time-limit expires
